This 1997 Ford F-350 XLT Crew Cab DRW Long Bed 4x4 is a distinctive example of the final-year OBS Ford platform, enhanced by a Centaurus conversion and powered by the 7.3L Power Stroke turbo diesel V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission (E4OD). Known for its durability, pre-emissions simplicity, and long-term reliability, the 7.3L remains one of the most respected diesel engines produced. With 192,856 miles, this truck reflects consistent use supported by upgrades and ongoing maintenance.
Finished in Ebony Black with custom silver and gray painted graphics as part of the Centaurus conversion, the exterior presents exceptionally well and carries a unique, period-correct appearance. The truck’s stance is subtly improved with a 2-inch leveling setup, complemented by new ION Alloy wheels and six new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires (265/75R16). Additional exterior features include a brush guard, Lund visor, color-matched front bumper valance, and Delta III diamond-plated running boards with integrated lighting.
The interior features a full custom Centaurus treatment and is in exceptional condition, presenting with no noticeable wear. Period-correct upgrades include plush custom upholstery, extensive woodgrain trim throughout the dashboard and center console, and a custom overhead console with integrated lighting and controls. These conversion interiors were designed to elevate comfort and add luxury features not typically found in factory trucks of the era, giving the cabin a distinctive, upscale feel. Original owner’s manuals and booklets are also included.
Performance upgrades include an intercooler, AFE Power intake, and a turbo-back straight pipe exhaust, paired with rear suspension airbags for added capability.
Mechanically, the truck runs and drives excellent with strong and consistent power delivery. Recent service includes six new tires, Bilstein 4600 series shocks, new tie rods, alignment, vacuum pump with pulley, and brake system updates including a new booster, calipers, rotors, and pads. Cooling system service includes a coolant flush and new reservoir.
Exterior condition is excellent overall, with no notable flaws reported and a clean, straight body that presents well.
A unique OBS F-350 that combines the proven 7.3L Power Stroke platform with a rare Centaurus conversion, upgraded performance components, and distinctive styling—offering a combination not commonly seen. Conversions like this were produced in limited numbers and are rarely seen today.
